Configuration Guide: ARCE STREAMER + ARES 12TH-1 roon & I²S
Configuration Guide: ARCE STREAMER I²S Pinout Modes
  1. Press SETUP button once, SETUP LED on. Arce Streamer in Setting Mode

  2. In Setting Mode, the push buttons and LEDs on the front panel represent a different meaning. 

    • I2S/USB Button = Setting Selection – Left 

    • SOURCE Button = Setting Selection – Right

  3. Press I2S/USB or SOURCE button. The Streaming Service LED will turn on/off according. Stop when ‘roon’ LED is turned on. You are in I2S Setting Mode as the ‘roon’ LED on.

  4. Toggle the LOCAL button momentarily, I2S/NET/LOCAL will turn on/off in a fixed pattern to denote binary 000-111

  5. Set the I2S Pinout to 000

  6. Wait for 5s or Press the SETUP button once again to exit Setting Mode

  7. STREAMER back in operational mode

Configuration Guide: ARCE STREAMER External Master Clock Input
  1. Press SETUP button once, SETUP LED on. Arce Streamer in Setting Mode

  2. In Setting Mode, the push buttons and LEDs on the front panel represent a different meaning. 

    • I2S/USB Button = Setting Selection – Left 

    • SOURCE Button = Setting Selection – Right

  3. Press I2S/USB or SOURCE button. The Streaming Service LED will turn on/off according. Stop when ‘Airplay’ LED is turned on. You are in External Clock Setting Mode as the ‘Airplay’ LED on.

  4. Toggle the LOCAL button momentarily, NET LED will turn on/off.

    • NET LED Off – Arce uses internal clock

    • NET LED On – Arce uses external clock

  5. Wait for 5s or Press the SETUP button once again to exit Setting Mode

  6. STREAMER back in operational mode

FIRMWARE UPDATE: ARCE STREAMER 
  1. Load the firmware file to a USB pendrive (FAT32) via a computer

    • Note: ​USB pendrive has to be in FAT32 format, storage capacity less than or equal to 32GB

    • Copy the firmware file *.TSU to the root folder, i.e. E:\ARCE_SV03.00.20_HV20.TSU

  2. Plug in the USB pendrive to the Arce Streamer USB port

  3. Plug in AC Power Cord. Turn on AC Power Supply

  4. Arce Streamer Standby LED on. At this point in time, press and hold the following button

    • I2S/USB​

    • SOURCE

  5. While holding the two buttons, press Standby button to turn on the streamer

  6. LEDs flash to indicate firmware update is in progress. At this point, depress the two buttons. 

  7. Once the firmware update is completed, all LEDs on the front panel turn on. 

  8. Unplug the power cord

  9. Unplug the USB pendrive

  10. Firmware update completed

WARNING: DO NOT INTERUPT THE POWER & USB PENDRIVE WHILE THE FIRMWARE IS BEING UPDATED

    • To switch between I2S/USB output, press and depress the I2S/USB button

      • I2S/USB LED off - Arce output through i2s/coax/aes/opt

      • I2S/USB LED on/flashes - Arce output through USB
