I recently purchased a Denefrips Hermes DDC to add to my Streaming System and I have to say it has taken my setup to another higher level.
The Pontus already sounded great but the Hermes has much better bass, clearer midrange and much more accurate separation of voices and Instruments. I use a Node 2i and plug that into the Hermes with a very high end Coax cable and use a BJC i2s cable from the Hermes to the Pontus and then some nice RCA cables to my Primaluna EVO 400 Integrated playing on my Klipsch Forte IVs and it is the best sounding digital rig I have ever heard.
