“My set up includes a Bluesound Node 2i music streamer, the Denafrips Ares 12th Edition DAC and the Willsenton R8 Tube Amplifier. The speakers are the TAL 130 Transmission Line Speakers from T+A, Germany.
Prior to adding the Denafrips I used a chip based DAC from a well known English brand. That set up worked fine until a friend recommended to look into Denafrips. After some research I decided to purchase the Ares 12th Edition, and what a difference that made.
It’s like my system became alive. It feels that the particular sound characteristics of the tube amplifier and the Denafrips complement each other really well. My only regret is that I should have purchased the Ares 12th much sooner.
