I have been nothing but impressed with the performance of the Aries II.
I have Google chromecast running through a Toshiba plasma TV. Running a toslink cable from the TV to the dac. Running an Audio Quest cinnamon coax cable from an Audiolab cd transport to the dac. There is so much detail whether watching YouTube videos or listening to Cd's.
The sound improvement is definitely worth the purchase price.
My speakers are Final electrostatics, driven by Arcam A29 integrated amp. Also using an entry level svs sub, enclosed. I cannot believe how good it sounds listening to Java jazz festival videos, or my favorite Henry Mancini cd.
The purer the sound, the purer the enjoyment.
