The Venus II arrived today and it is a work of art, outstanding build quality. It has been running for several hours and initial listening is excellent. It is smooth but detailed and I notice much better bass and punch in my setup.
I am sensitive to the upper midrange presence region where other DACs have an edge and are a bit bright but the Venus is very smooth without a loss of information, well done.
