Here are my impressions of the Terminator with the new DSP after a couple months:
System:
Sugden A21 Signature intergrated amp
Cambridge Audio CXC CD Transport
Burson Soloist 3X Grand Tourer Headphone amp
Denafrips Terminator with new DSP board
Rega P2 turntable
Tekton Electron speakers
MicroRendu
Singxer SU-1
SonicTransporter (running Roon and HQPlayer)
The one thing I've noticed since upgrading the DSP board on my original Terminator (circa 2018!) is that the sound stage is expanded and more coherent - sounds like you are in the studio or live at a concert. When you close your eyes and listen, the speakers as 2 separate boxes disappear, and there is no sense that the music is digital - it sounds like an analog source, and I interchange digital sources with my Rega all the time and never notice "digital artifacts" when listening to the Terminator.
Wonderful upgrade from my perspective!
